Did you know that with the new keyless entry vehicles, you can mistake a flat key with a flat battery?

We had not one, but two customers who each had BOTH of their Mazdas fob batteries go flat and thought the main battery was flat in one day. After calling for a car battery replacement, they both mentioned that they had to "click" the key fob multiple times over the last week to open their car doors, and we realised the real problem; told them how to start their cars and bring them down to replace their keyfob batteries. Problems Solved!

If you’re ever in trouble with key fobs not working in your car with a push button stop-start – try holding the key over the button as it’s pressed…..and drive down to your nearest Repco Authorised Service Centre to get the key battery replaced. 

There should also be a key blade hidden inside as well to open the drivers door should the key fob not work.

So when your key fobs start going flat - ask us during your service, or pop down any time to have them replaced.
